Urban Art Interventions Workshops Parallel Cities Festival is accompanied by urban art interventions workshops. Individual festival projects are staged in typical urban buildings (hotels, dwelling houses, shopping centres, libraries, courts, factories) located in the Warsaw city centre. Workshop participants will meet curators, artists and festival producers within the duration of workshops. During those meetings they will look for answers to their questions concerning peculiarities of the above mentioned buildings. What is the most distinctive feature of the court? Justice? And maybe architecture? What can be opposite of the court, or the library? Then, workshop participants will leave the city centre in order to carry out their own interventions in the urban space interacting with the particular events of the main festival trends. In that way they will establish one more parallel city on the territory of the Parallel Cities. As the result of workshops each of four groups will do a 10 minutes public presentation of their own “parallel places”. Workshop curator: Jörg Karrenbauer Workshop coordinator: Anna Lewanowicz Workshop organizer: Open presentations made during workshops Dates Information about places of workshop presentations will be provided in the Festival Centre and on the following web sites: |
